Custom R&D technology introduction
Customized power is a concept in which power electronic devices or static controllers are used in power distribution systems to provide power to users who are sensitive to power quality to reach the level of reliability and power quality required by users. These user power equipment (or controllers) adopt advanced high-power power electronic devices and computer-based measurement and control technology to improve the user's power supply reliability and power quality to the required level. Customized power technology is also known as customer power (CP, CustomPower) technology or flexible alternating current transmission (DFACTS) technology.
State of International Research and Application
Customized power technology for the purpose of improving the quality of transient power, especially for the research of voltage sag, has been quite extensive and in-depth in Europe, America and Japan. The technology mainly includes the following technologies: dynamic voltage restorer (DVR), fast transfer switch (SSTS) technology, and energy storage technology. The world's major electrical companies (such as ABB, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.) have launched corresponding products. These technologies and products are mainly used in large-scale integrated circuit production, information centers, banks, hospitals, key manufacturing enterprises and sensitive laboratories, etc., where high power quality and power supply reliability are required.
Domestic research and application status
In my country, the issue of transient power quality has received widespread attention in recent years, and many valuable papers have been published in various academic conferences and publications on power, automatic control and electrical engineering. The domestic China Electric Power Research Institute and Beijing Electric Power Company are cooperating Carrying out demonstration engineering research on related technologies, and some universities have also carried out research on model device development and monitoring and control algorithms. At present, there is no national or industry standard for this technology, and the China Electric Power Research Institute is working on the formulation of such technical standards.
