Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Shenzhen World) is a major project invested and constructed by the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. It is constructed and operated by the China Merchants Shekou and Overseas Chinese Town Consortium. Etc.), catering, shopping, office, and service are all in one super large-scale exhibition complex. 

The first phase of the exhibition hall started construction in September 2016 and was fully completed and put into use in July 2019. After the overall completion, it will become the world's largest convention and exhibition center. The exhibition hall is operated and managed by Shenzhen Zhaohua International Convention and Exhibition Operation Co., Ltd. (co-founded by China Merchants Shekou and Overseas Chinese Town) and SMG of the United States.

The outstanding feature of Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center is the "fishbone" layout of the exhibition hall. The exhibition facilities include 19 indoor exhibition halls and 1 outdoor exhibition hall. The indoor exhibition hall consists of 16 standard exhibition halls, 1 super-large exhibition hall and 2 multi-functional exhibition halls, and the outdoor exhibition hall is South Plaza.
